Christopher Nolan went from superheroes to space travel and now he’s getting ready to serve us an epic World War II drama, Dunkirk. Watch the first trailer below.
Maybe I went into this video expecting too much. Or maybe this is not a particularly good trailer. I feel like the short announcement trailer released back in August hit me a lot harder than this new one. Of course one confusing trailer is not going to make me any less excited for Dunkirk, after all it’s still a Nolan film and he tends to make pretty extraordinary features. Plus some of those shots in the trailer looked absolutely stunning. I guess really the only thing that has me slightly concerned for Dunkirk is the structure of the movie. You see the film will follow multiple characters, each with his own story, and that’s not something Nolan has done before, definitely not on this scale.
Christopher Nolan wrote and directed Dunkirk. In the film you’ll probably recognize Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, Cillian Murphy, Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy and plenty of other actors.
Dunkirk is set to bow July 19th 2017 in the US and around the world. This is probably one movie you’ll want to watch in IMAX
