ANNOUNCEMENT FOR CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

FOR THE YEAR 2017/18

A: INTRODUCTION:

Applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians from the Public Sector to

apply for Short and Long Courses tenable in the People’s Republic of China

for the year 2017/2018.

The entire costs of these training courses which include the return

international airfare, tuition fees, accommodation during the entire period of

training will be borne by the Government of People’s Republic of China.

B: ELIGIBILITY FOR SHORT CURSES REQUIREMENTS:

Should be a Public Servant,

Age under 45 for officials at or under director’s level, and under 50 for

officials at Director General level,

Should be engaged in the management of relevant field,

Should have more than 3 years and above working experience in the

relevant field,

Have a good command of both spoken and written English to take

classes,

Qualified women are encouraged to apply, and

Be in good health both physically and mentally.

MODE OF APPLICATION FOR SHORT COURSES:

The list of training courses, requirements, and application forms

(Application Form, Foreigner Physical Examination Form, and VISA

Application Form) are available at www.utumishi.go.tz.

The applicants should submit to our office two (2) copies of completed

application forms along with academic certificates, CV, a copy of passport

and a formal letter of introduction from their employer.

The deadline for submission is 28th April, 2017.

C: ELIGIBILITY FOR LONG CURSES REQUIREMENTS:

The list of training courses is available at www.utumishi.go.tz.

Be Government official, teacher from public schools or universities,

etc.

• A division head and above.
• No less than 3-years working experiences.
• Bachelor degree holder to master, master degree holder to PhD.
• Excellent in administrative skills and high English proficiency.
•  Under age of 40.
• In healthy condition.
• 
  
• MODE OF APPLICATION FOR LONG COURSES:

The completed foreigner’s application form of the University (This

form is provided by the university).

Three recent photos of passport size (submit to the university only).

Graduation certificate.

Academic transcript.

Personal statement signed by the applicant (in 1000 English words).

Two different letters of recommendation (signed and sealed by the

Government department or professors).

A photocopy of passport.

Foreigner Physical Examination Form (signed by the doctor and seal

ed by the hospital).

Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form (See the enrollm

ent guide).

Curriculum Vitae.

VISA Application Form.

NB: For more information on eligibility criteria and application forms of

specific course program, kindly visit the respective University’s Website.

These original copies should be submitted to the university when the

candidate registers at the university. The scanned copy should be

submitted through President’s Office, Public Service Management,

Division of Human Resource Development, Room No. 17, Ground

Floor.

The deadline for submission is 28th April, 2017.

NB: Please, we also remind all applicants to have ample time for

processing State House Clearance which need not less than two weeks for

an approval.
